Maintenance Mechanic Job Description: A Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of machinery and equipment within a production facility. Here are the primary duties and qualifications:

Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
Thoroughly clean machines and machine parts, removing and reinstalling components as necessary.
Oil and lubricate moving parts to ensure effective performance.
Record and report damaged, worn, or broken parts.
Request replacement parts for machines from supervisors.
Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
Efficiently repair broken machines.
Collaborate with managers to schedule regular maintenance.
Make necessary modifications to machinery based on new products or requirements.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain and repair manufacturing and facility equipment according to documented procedures.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations.
Review equipment operation to minimize unplanned downtime.
Anticipate and solve problems, recommending improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
Familiarity with power and hand tools (e.g., hoists, grinders).
Ability to stand for long hours and lift heavy loads.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Organized with attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
A valid driver’s license is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and visually inspect machines.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $0.10 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
